General Arrangement:This yacht is laid out with a 3 ½ deck arrangement plan. On the lower deck, the guest accommodations are forward followed by the engine room and the crew’s quarters.Main Salon:When you walk into the main salon you really feel the added beam in this new Hargrave model. The satin finish would combined with accent panels highlights the cabinetry that is popular in high-end architectural design today. There are large storage cabinets on the port and starboard side and they have a loose furniture look and feel. In addition, every where your eye goes in this room you realize that you are looking at custom-designed storage areas. In today’s world of “shock and awe” design this vital space has been sacrificed in an attempt to capture your attention, when in reality, storage space is one of the most critical ingredients to the successful operation of any yacht. When you look at the ceiling design it is subtle and yet intricate. Everything about this room has a calm energy about it.When you first open the door to the on deck head you can tell something is different and it takes a few minutes for you to realize there is a clever use of mirrors in this design. As you look at the granite and stone work you can appreciate the artistic styling that went into creating this space. The ability to be fully functional while adding artistic styling is one of the hallmarks of building a custom yacht. The country kitchen layout on this boat with its added beam confirms the old adage that bigger is better. If you liked the country kitchen’s on previous Hargraves you’re going to love this one. The satin finish walls with accent panels combined with the hardwood floors and the added height that is a hallmark of Hargrave yachts really makes this one of the most enjoyable areas for both owners and crew. As you look at the design of the appliances, the fixtures and hardware, the granite countertops, and even the shapes and angles you can see how a collection of refined and subtle details have created this ambience. As you walk down to the VIP cabin which is forward it takes a few minutes to truly understand what you’re looking at in the passageway. The amount of storage on both the inboard and outboard side of the staircase is just hard to believe. You find yourself thinking “I’ve never seen this before any other boat” and that’s because storage is not a priority for most designers. Particularly on European designs it is often a matter of form over function. If it looks good that’s what counts and for some buyers that’s fine. For people that are going to be living on their boat for months at a time and in some cases six months or more, every inch of space helps to add to the enjoyment and functionality of the yacht. In the VIP cabin itself there is a large king-size berth on centerline and a lot of storage underneath that you can see. In addition to doors and drawers and lockers there is a good amount of shelf space that guests make ample use of when they are bored. The oversize head is on the port side and it is light and bright and continuous the Italian styling from the main deck. Look carefully at the hinges, the hardware, the faucet and you’ll appreciate the thought that went into this area. The shower like all showers on Hargrave yachts, is more like you would expect to find a large home. Even looking around on a casual basis you’ll appreciate how the design of the entry door to this cabin ties into the access door to the bathroom and how the accent panels have added to the symmetry of the design. The Raised Pilothouse:Again, the added cubic space on this yacht really shows up in this area. There is less of everything visible in your first thought is “I wonder what’s missing?” This clean design which comes from carefully matching floors and wall panels has a minimum of equipment visible in contrast to earlier designs. There are two large screens, a few controls, a few key gauges, and everything else in today’s modern world is digital. As you look at the three oversized forward windows you can appreciate the visibility from this home station. With almost 180° of visibility it has a wide open feel to it and can serve as another private space for owner and guests when the boat is at dockside or at anchor. The Flybridge Deck:Over the years Hargrave has continued to refine the concept of extending the deck both forward and aft so that it feels more like a flush deck motoryacht than a raised pilothouse design. The additional 2 feet of with really jumps out at you when you’re standing at the aft portion of the deck looking forward. Oversize settees on the port side provide comfortable accommodations for dining or relaxing while the stand up bar with attached stools is directly across from the starboard side. There are three lounge areas after the settees on the port side and there is a huge amount of storage below including an additional freezer. The Aft Deck:The aft deck is a large settee with additional chairs providing space for up to 12 people. There’s a full bar unit to the port side with three attached stools and provides full-service with an ice maker, refrigerator, and sink. On the starboard side you’ll find access stairs to the flybridge as well as to the crew quarters below. This entire area is finished with attractive teak deck planking giving it a high-end yacht feel. The Profile:As you walk along the dock you can appreciate just how big this yacht really is. It feels massive as you walk along the dock and taken the clean lines and watch as the bowl work raises up as you move forward towards the bow. There is a proper rub rail, which is unusual on many European boats, but is invaluable when working with pilings around the United States. The Whitehall combined with a black bottom paint and a 4 inch black boot stripe adds to the classic styling of this handsome yacht. Looking up you’ll notice there is a modern single mast with double wings for the electronics mounted on top of a hardtop that provides proper cover and protection from the sun. Once again, Hargrave is chosen to avoid gimmicky hardtop designs which may look great on magazine covers but do little to protect the owner and his guests when their spending hours at a time in this area. When you first enter the engine room several things grab your attention. First is the sheer size and volume of this compartment. It feels so open it’s almost like something is missing. As your eyes look around you begin to notice the fit and finish and attention to detail in all areas including the plumbing, electrical, ceiling, and floor. Everything you see in touch shows the refinements that come from an experienced builder like Hargrave. The height combined with the new lighting really adds to that open feeling. The commissioning team was in the engine room during our visit in one of the technicians said “we love this boat” pointing out the ease of access to all equipment that has to be serviced on a regular basis. It is this kind of open feeling that really makes the difference between an American design and so many European boats where the equipment is piled one on top of the other with no regard for what happens out the real world. Because Hargrave yachts are custom and built one at a time, we are able to incorporate feedback from captains and crew on a regular basis which allows us to operate on a kaizen basis of continuous improvement. The Crew area has a very high-energy feel to it. The wall materials are almost like a bamboo with a light and bright Italian styling. Combined with the hardwood floors, this almost seems like the guest accommodations. The captain’s quarters features a queen berth and private head with shower features a large upper and lower berth with separate head and shower. There’s a comfortable dinette on the starboard side as well as an inside staircase to the aft deck. On the port side is a service area that can be used for basic food service for the crew and has a large washer dryer below the countertop for the ship's laundry.ENTERTAINMENT:Samsung UN75NU8000 75” Premium Smart TV in SalonSamsung UN40NU7100 40” Smart TV in GalleySamsung 48.8” 4K Smart LED Super Ultra in MasterSamsung UN40NU7100 40” Smart TV in Port GuestSamsung UN40NU7100 40” Smart TV in Starboard GuestSamsung NU7100 40” Smart TV in VIP StateroomHDTV 720p 19” LEDTV in crewLG 24LH4830-PU 24” Smart LED TV w/built in wifi and rthernet connectivityKVH TracVision HD7 mounted on Mast for DirectTVFusion MS-RA770 Apollo 4.3" capacitive touch glass LCD color media receiver JL Audio M770-CCX-CG-WH M-Series 7.7-inchspeakersMotivated Design 65-70' Pop Up Lift 68' wide x 44'Sonos Playbarx2Sonos SubApple TVNiles RCA-HT2RepeaterNAVIGATION:Axiom XL 22 Touch screen displayat Pilothouseand FlybridgeRaystar 150 GPS with Pole MountAIS700 Class BVHF Ray90 VHF mounted on FlybridgeDeck horn / hailerCP370 ClearPulseRaystar 150 GPSSR200 -
